Like the first album, this one was also compiled entirely using MTV Music Generator software and sold for $5 through an older version of RFSHQ. The online release of "Stuck On The Rollerslide" contains 9 tracks; on the original release there was one track split into two. This track has been combined into its original form. Creator Comments: Album Names- This album's original title, "The Light", was just a simple track-inspired title and had no meaning to it. It's 2008 re-release name "Stuck On The Rollerslide" (complete with matching cover art) has a backstory behind it however. When I was rather young I went on a trip to the now defunct Discovery Zone which had, among other things, a rollerslide - a slide made entirely out of small metal rollers, similar to what you see luggage flying around on at an airport. The place was massive and I spent a solid 15 minutes trying to find the damn thing, and when I did my jacket got stuck in one of the rollers half way down. I ended up chilling out on that rollerslide for a while until someone else came down and knocked me free (ripping that jacket in the process). Album Cover- The cover is an exaggeration of the literal title of the CD and its backstory. I'm fairly certain the rollerslide didn't have a bunch of tracks to it and go all over the place like that. I just needed a lot of dots to fit all the letters in it. Plus I stole that walking man from a Cross/Don't Cross road sign. - Justin "RFS" Bardin |
